Is groupon.co.uk Safe?

I have been trying to sort out 2 refunds for BLAZE - hair and makeup course as they do not now provide the mac goody bag as quoted and even though they confirm they will give a refund NONE is forthcoming. Also Celicious cakes in Leeds - they ignore all telephone calls / text messages and when you try to place an order by email ignore that as well. Living Social will not refund as they say merchant is still in business - What a joke! May still be in business but will not supply the goods you have paid for. I can't quite understand all of the negative comments for spam. I originally signed up for this website via the Smart Phone Android App and love seeing which offers come in daily. Yes the original pop-ups can be annoying but it's so simple to turn off notifications and e-mails and certainly does not justify all of the negative comments (remember the whole point of this website is to advertise great deals which is often easiest to do via e-mail - read the small print when you sign up). There are some great deals available and as long as you don't mind approx 3 e-mails a day (remember they can be turned off) then you'll love the website.

If you sign up to this site expecting not to get emails then you are clearly some type of idiot. That is what Groupon do - send you details of group discounts. If you don't like it either a) don't sign up or b) unsubscribe. Sheesh. It's a wonder some people get through dinner without stabbing themselves in the face with a fork.

Anyone who has mentioned spam obviously doesn't understand the concept of this site. The so called 'spam' is notifying you of a deal that may or may not want to take. If you don't want the emails, just turn them off! I have used and they are more than honourable and offer an excellent service!
