I was ripped off by this company Smart Savings Center. I was searching for a book and found a very good price on HotbookSALE.com. I do not know how it happened but was signed up for the membership to Smart Savings Center without my consent. It was probably something that was automatically checked when the purchase was completed and I really had no knowledge that it was really there. Unfortunately, I did not become aware of any membership fees. It was not until 5 months later, that my credit card company, Chase, called with a fraud alert. By the time I became aware of the situation, the amount that this deceptive company had profited from my bank account was over $150. BEWARE!
