☠ Security Issues Before use, you need to do a "search" to see just what you are "really" getting into... ☛ "A security researcher named Brian Krebs write about what he experienced when he testing iYogi's support: ☛ He writes about being encouraged to sign up for an "expensive support package" in order to resolve 'problems' that the iYogi rep claimed they found on his "virgin Windows XP installed" computer. ☠ iYogi insists on remote access to your computer. Which is very dangerous with an unknown/untrusted company as often they will "install" malware or even their own code to infect your computer to prove you have problems, then they try to charge you an arm and a leg to buy their products, which cost hundreds of dollars (not counting the monthly service fee), that have NOTHING to do with your computers problem! As they caused, installed or initiated the problem ti begin with! iyogi has been great ! For one fee they have fixed a lot of issues I had with this old computer . They continue to be very helpful and patient with me, even with my lack of typing and computer skills.They even fixed my low virtual memory. I love this access to professional help when ever I need it. And I have already used it 3 times in the 2 weeks I've had it. It has been well worth it .

I had a dreadful 9 hours with them pushing their package when I was asked to contact them re an avast issue. Finally paid $160 and 9 hours later after sitting in front of my NEW computer while they tried and failed to install their help service I was given an appointment with an expert for 3 days later. Then with much difficulty I tried and got a refund only after I agreed to pay $60 for their "help". It left me exhausted, frazzled and really grumpy.

iyogi.net presents itself as a Microsoft Customer Support but it is in fact a private company. They start off very politely telling you they are here ti help you and take care of you problem. In my case they quickly changed gears and said my 1 month old computer was infected with adware and several viruses and offered to take care of the problem for a fee of $129 to $179 depending on how long it took. It was a total farce and a waste of time...
