A community intended to help people who are recovering from the emotional and psychological effects of being part of the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses. This site contains not only advice and information regarding the Watchtower Society, but also stories from people sharing their struggles and helping each other cope. As you would expect, Jehovah's Witness Recovery doesn't present the Watchtower Society in a flattering light. It's worth noting that Jehovah's Witnesses are strongly discouraged (practically on pain of disfellowshipping/excommunication) from reading material that is critical of the organization in any way. Anyone who is thinking about becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses or has a loved one who is studying with them should do extensive research about the organization. The information presented by the religion itself is biased, just as an advertisement designed to sell a product is biased. It's worth considering many sources of information, including personal stories from people who once were Witnesses themselves.

This is one of the best places for those having issues stemming from Jehovah's Witnesses to validate their doubts about the JW cult and start the road to recovery. Very well moderated and the members are loving and caring toward all. I highly reccomend this site!

I cannot sing praises high enough for these forums and community, by far the best available resource and community currently available online for ex-Jehovah's Witnesses, to meet ,ask questions or just chill out and socialise with other people who "just get it" and understand and empathise with what you have been thru. Also a great place to sound out your doubts for those still "in the truth" you know those questions you have that aren't given to you at the end of every column ;)

If you are considering this religion or are active yourself, I beg of you to research the facts about the religion. If you truly have "the truth", then it should be able to stand up to any scrutiny. Is a scientist afraid of "apostates" spreading lies about how the Earth is flat? Of course not, as it won't stand up in the facts. So why is the religion saying to "be afraid" of so-called "apostates" if they are only spreading lies? Shouldn't they debunk whatever these "apostates" say just like a scientist debunks a psuedo-scientist? But have you ever seen the religion debunk so-called "apostate lies"? If they were really lies then they would be easily debunked. But If you do your own research you will see that they are not lies, but backed up with sources and citations. (a thing the Watchtower literature doesn't do all the time, and sometimes even misquotes sources or takes them out of context, look up the sources yourself, do your own research to "make sure of all things fine.") But of course don't take my word for it. Do *your own* research and stop taking other people's word. I can't stress this enough. The internet is such a great place to research and find information. Use Google, and make sure the source information is credible. Cross check with Watchtower literature and see who is *really* telling the truth. You can see who is right and who is wrong by the ones that want to suppress information (like dictatorships) and take their word for it, and those that open and free information and want you to do *your own* research. Excellent forum. The members are mostly former members of the jehovah's witness religion. Despite the hateful rhetoric they receive from current members, they aren't afraid to expose the VERY ugly, hidden side of the jehovah's witnesses/watchtower religion. TWO HUGE THUMBS UP.

Great forums for those that have been affected by the Jehovah's Witness. For those who have left or are looking to leave, or even just wish to look at a different opinion. There are not mentally diseased apostates. These are people who have been hurt by a high control group, many who have lost their families and been abused because of their policies.

Let's see. JW's have justified using corrupt law enforcement as they see themselves above the law. They sight Abraham's lie about Sarah being his wife as justified, yet these lies are used against the safety requirements for raped children by paedophiles. Absolutely disgusting! They have used legal excuses in court that have put themselves on the same level of child abuse as the Catholic church has done sighting their rights of none disclosure. They have no true honour as they try to cover-up immoral behaviour. Your child would be at risk being present in this organisation. Just check out the recent court case involving Candice Conti where she was awarded over $27mil. She took the WTS to court on principle of their cover-ups. She only asked for $1440 refusing to accept an out-of-court settlement. The court found completely in her favour! The WTS has now $1billion (yes BILLLION) dollars of assets frozen. There have been MANY other out-of-court settlements. Thank You Candice for your bravery to exposed the wrongs in this imperfect Watchtower society.

Good informative site. Negative comments are from active Jehovah's Witnesses, wich is ironic as by their own rules are prohibited by to visit such sites. According to their leaders everything they say is true, while anybody who says different is by a default a liar.

JWs swarm sites like this to give poor rankings to any site critical of the WTS (mother ship). It's a cult. This site does a great job in helping those who wish to leave this high control cult. If only my family members would read the contents, they may no longer be JWs.
