Like any other such platform, there is always a chance that individual publishers might be less than reputable. It is, however, ridiculous to indict the entire platform. Should we not trust Wordpress because of the scores of bad actors using that platform? Should we completely distrust Facebook? Of course not - we should distrust those that misuse the platform. If WOT can't distinguish between subdomains and the TLD, it's not worth a whole lot.
