Is mcafee.com Safe?

Behaviour appears similar to most rogue anti-virus software: installs itself without confirmation alongside a wide variety of completely unrelated software, and then advertises a paid version of itself which supposedly unlocks additional features. While it may be easy to remove, it shouldn't have been installed in the first place!

I would not trust this company with any security operations on my system! They foist their software on users by way of "opt out" piggybacks do downloads of other software. A company that would stoop to this kind of skulduggery cannot be trusted to guard your system. They are up to no good.

I bought a new Asus Laptop where Mcafee was preinstalled and because of Mcafee it refused to accept free Wifi but there was no hint that the Problem was caused by this program, only when deinstalled free wifi worked. As antivirus i would recommend antivir by avira

Importunate company that wants to push you their product "McAfee security scan plus" through the throat, when installing Adobe Flash Player updates. During installation of that there isn't a screen that offers you the choice to yes or no install the additional Mcafee program. It's unethical to add a PUP like this ! In my opinion Mcafee is one of the worst or least effective antivirus i have ever used its a big resource hogger and its detection rate is garbage its worse than Norton it detected some cookies but couldn't delete them out of all the antiviruses i have NEVER seen an antivirus that couldn't delete cookies very disappointing

Nearly every Windows computer starts with this. I highly recommend you replace it because it's really weak. After years with McAfee I've gathered over 42 threats. McAfee didn't even find one. Even if it did find any, there's no quarantine area to put viruses in. You can only delete them. It's useless! The only thing it's good at is slowing down your computer every blinking update and scan.
