Is mediafire.com Safe?

Where I get much of my music collection. Though the music is mostly illegal, mediafire is a good file hosting service. They offer unlimited space for non-paid users, as well as a download limit for file size that isn't too shabby either. Looking for hard to find foreign songs? Come to the right place! The download speeds are fast for non paid users as well, so you won't have to wory about a slow download. Some links do have viruses, and the popups are bothersome, but by using NoScript and AdBlock Plus for Firefox, the popups are gone!! But, like every file sharing website, you have to be careful of what you download.

MediaFire provides an excellent, free file hosting service and great download speeds. As with many file hosting services, take precautions when downloading files. Even though services prevent against its misuse, it never hurts to be cautious and scan the files downloaded.

A very good file sharing website with very easy user interface. It's design is very sleek and organized for easy use. I think that there is no download waiting time, unlike 4shared and rapidshare. Use Adblock to prevent annoyance while browsing mediafire

MediaFire are one of the best media hosting services around, in my experience. The recent spate of negative ratings as the result of one rogue file - ***** - demonstrates a hysteria att odds with real threat. MediaFire by default scans files served for viruses, but in this instance did not detect compromised code. As with any media hosting service, caution should be routinely employed when downloading from links provided by an untrusted source.

Updated Review: Borderline between unsatisfactory and good for all categories. While a multiple virus scan from Virus Total shows the site is clean, sometimes people may upload a bad file or two. The Virus Total report shows that there might be a small number of malware files on the site according to ParetoLogic. However, Most of the downloads should be OK. Please note that MediaFire does NOT intentionally host malware! My overall rating of this site, based on a composite of Virus Scan Results/WOT community input is now changed to the following: YELLOW: Proceed with caution and please scan all downloaded files before opening them with your updated Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware programs. The overall site is average to good for safety, like a C+ grade I would say, but there might be one or two downloaded files that may not be good. USE CAUTION!

Excellent site de téléchargement, pas de pop-up, pas besoin d'inscription, lien disponible directement sans captcha ni autres combinaisons foireuses, pas besoin d'attendre avant de télécharger et surtout pas de limites de nombres de fichiers que l'on peut télécharger.
