Is mywot.com Safe?

WOT is good at noting scam, spam and malware sites. BUT it also generates a good deal of False Positives. If you are visiting a Chruch website, a political website, a prolife website, etc. then you may note that WOT users have rated the site poorly -- as 'malware' for example when this is incorrect. Why? Because the rater dislikes the religious or political content! Also, WOT is not accurate for new sites or small community websites. Both WOT and McAfee have issues with assuming poor site reputation if the site is small. Many small webmastesr do not post a privacy policy, for example, because they personally know all their site users. I wish WOT would better control for false positives and political or religious bias/prejudice.

It's ironic to rate a site by using their own rating program however I like the software but I just think that way too many stupid users/people out there have no idea what they are talking about and this extension gives everyone and little Timmy authority to Judge any website they want and to say whatever they want based on their opinions which are usually Wrong, great extension except that it's too easy for computer idiots to get their little hands on.
