Is namecheap.com Safe?

Registered a domain with them and got my website setup. They suspended my website for No reason and demanded a ptoto of my credit card, front and back as well as a photo of my passport. Like I'm going to send that info via email... Contacting them is futile, they wont answer email or phone. They are trying to steal my money and domain name as well as the income the site would have generated. NameCheap is a SCAMMER. Turn around and RUN From them, NameCheap is NOT to be TRUSTED...!
