This non-profit does more to directly help the families dealing with autism than any other one I know of. They've developed many programs to help keep the kids safe and most of their funds go to that. This organization is run by a handful of dedicated, caring Mom's. I've noticed that the Big Pharma TROLLS have tried to damage their reputation on this site and it's all lies. I've seen what these Mom's do and how hard they work. They don't deserve anything but gratitude and respect.

Very little money spent by the organization goes to any research or services that would benefit those with Autism. Most of their money goes towards fundraising, running a conference that has speakers like Andrew Wakefield(a physician whose medical license was revoked for fraudulent and unethical medical research), and executive salaries. They also believe that vaccines cause Autism nevermind that there have been numerous studies that have failed to find any such link and the one study that did purport to have such a link, the '98 lancet article published by Wakefield, was found to be fraudulent. See ***** for more details.

At first sight this website looks like a good source of information about autism: it's not. There is much information on it that is misguided, much that is plain wrong, and some that is very dangerous. This is not a site to trust, and it is profoundly anti-science. It repeats the lies that autism can be caused by vaccination. That alone is reason to avoid this site - the scientific evidence that autism is not caused by vaccination is overwhelming. But there's more: it recommends a range of treatments for which there is no sound scientific evidence and some of which are actively dangerous, like chelation therapy. Children have died because of chelation therapy, and to suggest that it has any place in the treatment of autism is appalling. Avoid.

There is no evidence that shows that vaccines cause autism. Millions in research have been wasted, let's move on and help these kids and families.
3
The so called “link” between vaccines and autism has been debunked & disproved over and over ! I too would recommend ***** instead of this sight.
4
Directly from the Causes of Autism page: "The National Autism Association believes: Vaccinations can trigger or exacerbate autism in some, if not many, children, especially those who are genetically predisposed to immune, autoimmune or inflammatory conditions." They have no business "believing" anything. The facts do not back up this statement. Try going to a science based website like: *****
6
They try to sound unbiased, but still try to promote the thoroughly discredited hypothesis that vaccines cause autism.
7
Rated this site low because they state that vaccines can cause autism, but carefully play both sides of the fence. I don't think it is ethical to do so.
