used it to convert pdfs to text, works great. You have to do a little formating afterwards, but it works great.

This is the best free online OCR ( optical character recognition ) program that as of ***** I have used several free and a few pay online OCR programs. This is simple, easy, fast, safe, and secure. It is fantastic that I do not have to register, pay, or even agree to wave rights to the image or text.

The website does exactly what it says - convert PDFs. No malware, or any unwanted popups. The most ethical free service by far.

This is the best site I've found so far, and that is saying alot since most of the sites I found were shady. I haven't tried the other sites mentioned here

newocr.com scanned a page of text for me but converted with a pile of errors. I had far fewer errors with onlineocr dot net . The newocr.com experience was positive, though, except for the errors.
