They tell a customer they have a virus or some other problem on their computer, then they charge said customer (if the person accepts) to "fix" the problem. Alternatively, companies like this offer a free "trial version" of their software, which seemingly reveals several bad things, and in order to get rid of the "problems", the user must purchase the full version of the software, which ends up being a worthless pile of garbage. They offer to fix this for you by installing a freeware anti-virus program for which you are charged heavily. Credit card details are then at risk. They call from India but use a London number 01274 ***** (probably Skype) Use English sounding names with an Indian accent.
