Is openclipart.org Safe?

Yet another site posing as a "Free" graphics provider when in fact they are anything but. If I have to buy "credits" to download one of your images then the images are NOT FREE!! And if all you do is dump me in the lap of some other site pulling the same scam, then you are worse than they are.

An excellent resource for free clip art -- quality svg and png files available as public domain and set up on the Open Standards model. The site does contain some content inappropriate for some children, so discretion is advised. Without question, the site is a refreshing alternative to some other free clipart sites that are heavy on ads, popups and questionable downloads. Hopefully, the Open model is successful.
