I'll share my experience about Origin, but first about me - i've been a PC user ever since 2009, and i daily spend 4-12 and sometimes 15 hours next to the computer. I have a lot of experience and understand how digital technology works. Couple years ago, i signed up for Origin Access for one month only. For those who don't know, the steps to do this are as follows - Sign up for any game subscription (Origin,Xbox, etc) and then immediately unsubscribe from it. Instead of cancelling the subscription, it leaves it active until that one month you subscribed to, gets expired. That's perfect, that's probably the way every single subscription that is out there works. However with Origin, it appears that this sometimes doesn't work as intended. And that's where my bad experience with them began. Two years ago, I perform the same process, i sign up and unsubscribe from the subscription immediately to receive only one month of Origin Access. I play a couple games, get bored in less than a month, and i don't bother to re-subscribe, putting origin on a shelf until something new comes out or until i'm hit with a nostalgia punch. Some time later, i come back to Origin and find a game that i want to play with Origin Access. I go to the tab where you would usually re-subscribe at, and click proceed to pay... way a ***** says i have Origin Access and there is nothing to pay for...what? I investigate for the next 5 minutes, and find out that Origin has been billing me continuously for their subscription when i never even used it. I reach out to their support to find out why the subscription wasn't cancelled, and they have nothing to tell me. Their system shows them that the subscription was never cancelled, and there is nothing they can do about it. I don't recall the exact amount they've billed me for inactive use of the subscription, but it was enough to exclaim in revulsion when realizing this situation. Okay, things happen. So i let that one slide. And then, about seven months ago from today (2 years have passed since the first incident) i purchase one month of subscription the same way i did before, but the thing is, i didn't remember at that time that there is a potential error, glitch, whatever you want to call it - Origin may continue billing you despite you manually unsubscribing from the subscription. And as you may have guessed, exactly the same issue happened. Just recently, i look into my bank and see that Origin has been showing up for the past seven months, billing me for this stupid subscription that i even now remember unsubscribing from. I go to my account, cancel my subscription, the system tells me that i've cancelled the subscription and i'm all good to go. And so, i reach out to their support to "see if i can get the money back". I speak to their representative, and they tell me that i still have an active subscription...excuse me? I tell the representative "i just manually cancelled it before reaching out to you", and they respond to me that "No, it is still active. Unfortunately being that this a seven months issue, there is nothing we can do about it, but we can go ahead and cancel it for you". That was the moment when my initial goal of "seeing if i can get some money back", turned into a firm declaration "i will get the money back". The response of their representative confirmed my thought that their system indeed works the way it's not supposed to. I'm not supposed to reach out to their support team to get Them cancel my subscription, if there is such an option available in the account settings. I am not supposed to go through the same glitch twice. I am not supposed to pay money for something that I unknowingly was billed for. Those actions are similar to those of a scammer. Eventually i reach out to my bank and start a dispute in which my bank was able to return about half of the total sum that was paid for those subscriptions. That's okay, considering how bizarre this situation is.... But then I receive an email from Origin...stating that my account is now closed...hello? So let me get this straight. They have the information that this issue has happened with me twice, as it is recorded or at least should've been recorder in their customer history, so they know that considering that i've never launched a single game in those seven months (six technically), there is a possibility that what i'm saying is true and that there indeed may have been some kind of error on their part, and additionally, their customer representative confirmed this error happen and he saw me as an active subscriber after i manually cancelled it. And so, considering all of this, what they decide is to eliminate my account and refer to User Agreement rights? Where in the User Agreement does it state that Origin may occasionally continue charging you for unused subscription for $100+, despite the user manually cancelling it?...I didn't have many games entitled to the account, but they were $160+ worth, and Origin decides that instead of tending to this issue, they should simply close the account and be done with?...are you people trying to make your users use piracy websites to play your games, since they can no longer play Origin-only titles?! I'm not saying that this is what i'll be doing, but rather this is what your actions are implying. This has been absolutely unconscionable, irresponsible and unjust measure, considering that the information i've obtained so far, leads me to believe that this is indeed Origin's fault. I am genuinely happy to see that I can still play some of the Origin games over at Steam now. Because it seems that the chances of getting this same error that i’ve encountered, did not decrease over the last two years, meaning there was little or no improvement done to their system. And so based on my experience, i do not recommend ***** or their launcher app.

Good for buying video games if you are fan of EA games.

ORIGIN OF EA IS THE TOILET CESS ... IT IS NOT STABLE AND FULL OF BUGS AND THOSE WHO HAVE MORE OR MORE .... YOU MUST FORCE UPDATE ORIGIN WITHOUT CHOICE TO DO IT OR DON'T DO IT .... IF YOU ADD A NEW GAME TO THE ORIGIN GAMES FOLDER ORIGIN BREAKS IF YOU TRY TO ADD THIS GAME "LOCALIZING" IT. AT THE END STEAM IS REALLY REALLY SOLODI LIKE A ROCK COMPARED TO ORIGIN. THE ORIGINAL CATALOG OF THE GAMES TO PURCHASE IS ALSO POOR AND POOR. OPTIONS IN THE CUSTOMER ORIGIN RIDICOLE ... BUT I ASK: WITH ALL THE MONEY EARNED BY EA BUT WHY DO NOT CREATE USEFUL THINGS THAT HAVE A SENSE? WHY DO YOU STAY AND BE ONE OF THE MOST HATEED COMPANIES IN AMERICA (USA)? AND IT RESISTS BECAUSE THE IDIOTS CONTINUE TO BUY FROM HER OTHERWISE THERE WOULD BE ONLY STEAM AND OTHER FEW :-) EVEN THE GAMES CREATED BY EA ARE EXPIRED OLD IDEAS RE-PROPOSED EACH YEAR :-( AWFUL ORIGIN WITHOUT IDEAS AND AS A VIDEO GAME COMPANY PS BATLEFIELD SERIES IS JUST A EXAMPLE WHEN A GAME HOUSE LIKE EA HAVE NOT IDEAS TO INVEST IN REAL CREATIVE GAMES... EA THINK ONLY TO MAKE MONEY FOR HER THE GAMERS ARE SECONDARY THING...

Origin is a gaming service owned by Electronic Arts. All (possible) credit card transactions are done using a highly secured servers. Possibly ordered subricpion(s) like Origin Access (tm) can be cancelled anytime just by logging in, selecting Origin Access, clicking "cancel" and "confirm". (took about a minute from me. EA Origin provides a large scale of games. PEGI info will be shown below a logo of the game, when a game is selected. PEGI age restriction can be also found in games system requirements.

Никому не рекомендую эту платформу для игры. Во первых Эта компания находится в сша, во вторых до тех поддержки невозможно достучаться, в третьих мой ак взломали так что он отвязался от моей электронной почты.

As they say for games "on the house", "there is no catch". There is, games don't work unless you're loged in origin. If origin gets terminated, You'll lose your games. Also, game don't work without internet connection.

Domain owned and operated by Electronics Arts one of the biggest publisher of video games

You can trust Origin to not put a virus on your computer, however it tracks your computer crazily. And since this is a site owned by Electronic Arts Inc. it has TERRIBLE customer service. It also has other issues that do not relate to how trustworthy the site is, for example games costing up to $100, and averaging $80.

Отвратительный, плохой сайт- не заботится о своих клиентах. Два аккаунта вскрыли. Все что куплено ушло другим

игры покупаю только здесь, отличный сайт

Whats with these russians posting that this site is only for kids? Several of these games on here shouldn't even be played by kids, as an example, at least in my opinion, the Mass Effect series, which at least on consoles you got an acheivement for having a sex scene with a crew member, and the battlefield series which is a war game, of course i wouldn't care if my kids were to play battlefield, but generally these games are rated M which means it's made for ages 17+

I hate Origin. Every bone in my body despises it, and there is nothing I hate more than when a game that I purchase on Steam requires me to also log in through Origin. EA should just sell the digital distribution rights to Valve and leave everything up to them. Origin is a pain in the butt, slow, has crappy sales and attacks your computer with cookies. Cookies are great in real life, but not on a computer...
