I really have enjoyed having Plaxo. Friends and family can change their address, phone number(s) and info which will automatically update for me. There's PLENTY of ways to add or amend privacy. I've had Plaxo for 3 years now and have never had a problem in any way with spam, phishing, or any other harmful/annoying issues. This site is very helpful for keeping an online address book that you can log into from any other computer which is also nice.

My plaxo e-mail account is receiving spam such as from FROM BARR.ALHPA JOHNSON (ESQ). Cotonou Benin Republic.

Social networks... (need I say more ?) may be usefull, to those who get out of touch with their friends. However, we surrender way too much private information wich will be used by unknown people for unknown purposes. We all beware of Governmental "Big Brothers" and forget about private companies who now have the possibility and tendency to behave like corporate big brothers.

There is nothing wrong with this site. It is an easy site to work with and use. It is also important to me for the date reminders for birthdays. I have no idea why somebody would report it as spam.

The site e-mails me suggestions of who I should be "friends" with. If they know my taste in friends they're collecting just a bit too much data on their site.
Possible solution. Run Firefox browser with add on "NoScript" to keep spyware from downloading. Both free.

Yeah good, just a bit iffy about some of Plaxo's data collection tech. and their use of it.
