PortForward failed to configure my router. When I tried to contact their support using my email address and the password(key) they sent me, the support system failed to allow me to login or request support or a refund. When I sent the bank a request for a refund, PortForward disputed the request saying I never tried to contact their support staff. There seems to be no way to contact them.
This software is bogus and the company appears to be a SCAM.

Nice site with lots of info, but do not download any of their crap unless you intend to purchase it, it installs adware onto your hard drive.

When you don't know how to port forward, come here! You'll find it out for your router, no matter what.

Downloaded PFPortChecker and stupidly clicked straight though the T&C screens. Ended up with a selection of malware:
DeltaSearch (search engine hijacker)
Wallpaper changer (??)
TopArcadeHits (adware.gamevance)
Those hijacked the search engine in all my browsers (Chrome, FF and IE) and added in the TopArcadeHits ad pop-up generator also. Not sure what the Wallpaper changer thing was.
To get rid of all I had to revert to a previous restore point and then scan with Malwarebytes just in case. These things appear to be pretty benign as far as malware goes (they do have uninstall options), but are most definitely not the sort of stuff you expect a reputable product to install and it just leaves you wondering if anything else is hidden in with them.

Hey Radex, just like user agentasg, I think you may have gotten a version that was not from us. This week we just noticed that Adsense was vending a bunch of ads from companies like "my-downloads.net" which looked like a download button on our site. We immediately blocked these ads from running on our site and frankly, I'm surprised that google lets these ads run on any domain.
Please take a moment to test that our downloads are clean, and then revise your review. You can either use VirusTotal, or install our software in a virtual machine. When downloaded from our site our tools should be completely clean and free from malware, adware, toolbars, etc.
Do NOT install their router detector, it installs the malicious PC Optimizer Pro along with some other third party spyware.

I've known this to be a safe site for years, so I understand where a lot of you are coming from. But if you don't believe me, click the above link and download their router detector. I dare you. I'm sorry Mr Ceo, but your website is indeed distributing viruses.

During the date of your comment we were partnered with Amonetize to host our downloads and they must have installed PC Optimizer Pro on your computer because we have never been affiliate with PC Optimizer Pro. We are no longer partnered with Amonetize because of this sort of thing.
Spyware/virus was downloaded along with Portforward Multiple Router Detector. Be cautious about what you download.

Avira is blocking the download saying that it is malware. I don't know if this is true or not. Download at your own risk.

I am the site owner for portforward.com and I can assure you that we are not malicious and do not distribute viruses. The report on freepcsecurity is flat out wrong and I am fighting with them about it now to get it removed. Check out our forum and community and you'll see that we are an honest business just trying to help our customers out.

Very useful and helpful. Allows you to skip their ads.

Good site about routers...but it was filled with "Update <Router> Wireless Driver!" ads which you don't always know if it is an ad or something you are really supposed to do.
