Quora is an interesting website but be warned if you answer questions or follow questions you will get hundreds of emails & alerts every time some else answers a question you get more emails and alerts. There is no obvious or realistic way to turn off the notifications on the Quora page. Could be a nice place but it will drive you crazy.

Best quality and accuracy of answers of any Q&A site. Best formatted answers. Best moderation. Most scientifically and technically accurate. Rewards thoughtful, well-researched and insightful answers instead of the fastest answer. Other sites moderators include global warming denialists on the GW and alternative energy sections. (e.g. Wiki Answers). By comparison, the minor foibles of Quora moderators are an occasional mosquito bite on a glorious summer day by the beach.
