Not very safe since some websites that they post may have malware, and it's also not very safe for children (especcially on some specific subreddits).

I like reddit a lot. HOWEVER, some subreddits are absolutely NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. Or anyone with even a weak stomach. I can't believe some of the things I've seen on here.

Links and stories are voted upon in "subreddits" that are devoted to a particular topic. Some NSFW, but clearly marked and pretty much exclusively in certain subreddits.
Pretty awesome site, a community for everyone.
It is hilarious too. (when people aren't fighting)
