Is ripoffreport.com Safe?

This site is full of hate, slander, and useless information. The site promotes itself as a haven to report a scam or fraud of some kind but this is a community effort that is not moderated or researched to the validity of the remarks made. Most claims are from consumers that did not read the FINE PRINT or just have not working knowledge to how the service, product, or other tangible item was to be used. READ THE MANUAL first before returning it for a full refund or some product that is simpler to use. Misinforming others due to your mis understanding using mis information is not right or proper. It only shows someone who does the PROPER research your level of intelligence.

This site is supposed to help one identify frauds, ripoffs, etc, yet they post post content/charges, made about another website that is obviously a fraud (the post, not the other site). How much of a genoious does it take to see that a post maligning a site/owner, as untrustworthy, is FROM (so it says) the owner of the maligned site. What is the matter with this pic? Obviously Ripoffreport is the real ripoff! I'll never trust them, again.

Ripoff Report has become the epicenter for slandering individuals and companies. As the site has grown, a strong focus for companies to "pay to play" is allowed. In fact, Cash4Gold (known scam, just Google it), recently received endorsement by the editor because they joined their corporate advocacy program. Clearly, that program should be in dispute with respect to credibility. Even after disputes are resolved, there is no means to remove offending, false and misleading content. This is a poor decision that hurts businesses unfairly whenever their customers unfairly lie on the site. A word of advice -- companies need to respond to make reports balanced and fair. Otherwise it's their reputation out the window. For people, please exhaust all options with a company before criticizing a company on ROR. Likewise, provide updates if a company has made good to you. --Joseph

It is interesting to read some of the negative comments regarding this site. It seems that those making negative comments are friends or associates of some site that is rated negatively. Well having spend considerable time browsing the site and reading the various complaints, I find that the site is pretty much representative of the experiences that people have had with the various companies and if you check with the BBB ratings of the same companies, you see that in general they correspond tho what is reported on this site.

Ed Magedson is not just rude, but he's a criminal as well! Just do a simple web search and you will see why this guy Ed and his site have ZERO real effect on companies. Other consumer sites encourage the customer and the company to come together, while Ed's RipoffReport just make companies sue him. If you really want a company to help you out, then don't use RipOffReport.com. Because companies respond to customers that are POLITE, and you can't get that from RipOffReport. Not to mention, RippOffReport is so poorly designed; that a company won't even bother trying to sort through the mess. You'd be just wasting your time.

Fabian is an illegal alien in the US. He obtained entrance into the US using a "Rented" Mexican Passport. Richard Hackworth was totally taken in by this filth and loaned him 10''s of thousands of dollars to set up a MA School, purchase a van, find a home, and get his family up into the US. He has scammed over 200 Martial Artists in Colombia, who are anxiously waiting for him to be deported back to his home country, so they can deal with him. Richard Hackworth did NOT rip Fabian off. The owner of this forum, basically will NOT allow Richard Hackworth to post a rebuttal post on his forum, suggesting instead that he pay Fabian the money. What a Scam..........

Anyone can post anonymous lies on this website in order to defame his/her competitors. Reports stick on there forever. Nevertheless there are some real ripoffs on there as well, but nobody makes an editorial choice between the simple hatred-postings and true reports.
