You never stop to think or ponder in your spare time that your backup hard drive may crash. I thought of myself as one of the few that backup current information to avoid failure. Over time the data that's been backed up is countless hours of information, software, music, pictures, videos, documents, basically my entire digital life. I thought I was safe because I HAVE A BACK UP, until my external hard drive tipped over while running and I heard the infamous click..click...click..and so on. I remember thinking to myself this is a dream, there is no way my backup drive just failed, but it did. Bottom line is I needed the data back. I wasn't in a rush, so when I got to it I found Secure Data Recovery and brought it in for diagnostics. Secure Data Recovery contacted me after the diagnostics process was finished and went over the results with me. I gave them the approval to continue work. The amount of data I had on there was a fairly large amount so I knew it was going to take some time. It took roughly over a week, but the recovery finally finished. I then verified my data and brought in another hard drive for them to transfer the recovered data onto. Once everything was situated, obviously I spent many hours going over the recovered data to make sure everything was good, which it was.
