Is servebom.com Safe?

When I go to www.servebom.com, it always times out. That itself is a huge red flag. This domain put 25 cookies on my computer. Digging deeper, I discovered this domain is owned by purch.com. From their privacy policy: "We also collect and analyze information from your browser or device, such as, your operating system, plug-ins, system fonts, resolution and other data, for purposes of creating a unique profile or “fingerprint” of your browser or device." BAD, VERY VERY BAD!!!! "We and our service providers may automatically collect location information, including general information (e.g., IP address, zip code) from your computer or mobile device. If you access the Services through a mobile device, we may also ask you to share your specific geo-location information with us. The Services use this location information to provide customized location-based services, content, promotional offers and other information that may be of interest to you." And It just keeps getting worse. "We may also collect data about your use of the Services through the use of Internet server logs, cookies and/or tracking pixels." See what I mean about getting worse. Well, at least the company has the board of director's names and photos on the website. But this is clearly a company that goes out of their way to track you, something is that never ever acceptable.

I can't get it to load. I can't find solid information on what it does so with all of that I am banning it. EDIT: After blocking it on Livescience .com the number of trackers and ad scripts and XSS wanting to run dropped from 24 to 12. That many merits deep red as it's effects are just plain horrific. Blocked!

Domain registered to Best of Media (www.bestofmedia.com). Serves JavaScript that in turn places ads from Google Tag Services. (GTS itself, funny enough, according to Google Safe Search has had "suspicious content was found on this site was on 2013-12-24"..." ***** appeared to function as an intermediary for the infection of 1 site(s) including coolstandings.com/")

This site appears to be a user-transparent backend service. It has no web presence, no explanation exists of what it does. As such, it is probably wise to assume it may be involved in the serving of ads or data collection. As blocking it does not seem to have any negative effect on user experience, I would say block it to be safe.
