When I ordered an item it was showing as in stock, but when the confirmation email came, it said that the item was out of stock. When I contacted store support, they claimed that once the order had been transmitted to the warehouse there was nothing they could do to cancel the order. The support representative said that the item should be back in stock in a couple weeks and if i still didn't want the item then I could just refuse delivery and it would get returned to them. However I would still get billed for return shipping charges. Two months later, when the item had still not come back in stock, I again contacted the store support and explicitly requested cancellation of the order and pending charge on my Paypal account. Again the claim was made that "[w]ithin minutes of your order being placed, your order is transmitted to our warehouse and can no longer be modified in any way" and they said they would "reach out" to appropriate department but with no guarantee the order could be cancelled. Seriously? There's no way to cancel an order? If the orer is transmitted within minutes, clearly it's being done via computer and thus they should be able to just as easily "transmit" a cancellation order. Especially since this is for a pending order for which no work, like pulling the item from stock and packing it up, has even been done. At the very least they should be able to telephone the warehouse and have somebody there cancel it in their systems. Why they are unable to do such a simple thing is beyond me.
