My mom made the mistake of clicking an email link about being "tagged in a picture" and apparently sent me some spam which I then clicked. I am sure everyone I know got a similar email. Super lame.

found out about this site when they stole a friends email list and started emailing me, about "tagging a picture" in some sort of "shopping bag."

It does not make sense and sent an email to my gmail by some random person I don't even know. It seems like a spam. I don't even know what kinda website it is. It seems very sketchy too. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It appears to spam the address book. WOT warned me of this, and I passed it on to the person who sent me the "invite" to join the site. They said they were a victim of the site spamming their friends.

Invites sent out to join this site somehow commandeer the receiver's email address book and then invites get sent to everybody. The invite to me, from someone I barely know who once sent me an email and therefore, Gmail dutifully saved my email address in their address book, said "Bob tagged you with a photo" with a 'see the photo' link underneath. So I am not sure exactly what shoppybag is doing that's bad, but I don't like the results.
