I suspect the negative ratings for this site expose a serious flaw in the WOT system: the potential for confusing the intentions of a site with the intentions of those that use the service(s) the site provides. ***** uses streamsend.com to send out their periodic emails promoting sales and new products BUT ONLY TO THOSE WHO REQUESTED SUCH EMAILS. I completely trust Schmartboard, and trust that they are making benevolent use of streamsend.com's service.

At the end of a legitimate newsletter there is a link to unsubscribe. The unsubscription process is handled by streamsend, and never works. Thus the newsletter becomes spam.

StreamSend claims "to not allow the sending of unsolicited commercial email, or "spamming," under any circumstances." However, my experience shows that they are not successful.

This company provides their clients, such as Drobo with email addresses so that the business (and businesses that are also clients of Stream Send) can constantly email recipients who have never contacted nor made any inquiries to them.
These businesses offer the email recipients services and solutions for a fee.
