Is trashmail.com Safe?

**EDIT** Now the free version is apparently broken. The site also claims to still have it- but immediately demands payment. I have no problem paying a modest amount for services- but now I have some questions about this one. This is a great tool for fighting spam and protecting your address. It is very simple: every time you give out your address that is a chance for it to get sold and slaughtered. Once you get on spam lists it is virtually impossible to get off of them. Clicking "Unsubscribe" just confirms that there is a real human reading them- which means they will spam you even more! The only way of staying spam-free is to be firm and protect the daylights out of your address! I suspect that competitors and spammers are trying to ruin it's ratings. Notice how nobody who gave it bad ratings put their name and comments to it? There is nothing to merit anything less than a full dark-green rating.

This service allows users to generate disposable email addresses to fight SPAM. I've been a user for years now and for every subscription or website account, I generate a different email address. This allows me to keep my personal email address out of the hands of others.. because in the end, 9 out of 10 websites will sell your data e.g. email address to spammers, no matter what they claim on their websites about being concerned about YOUR privacy.. it's all bullshit.. they'll sell your email address, especially if the account you created on their website, has been inactive for 6-12 months. Without such a service as Trashmail, you'd never know who eventually sold your email address. Throughout the years I've send a lot of emails to seemingly legit website enterprises about getting SPAM on an email address I specifically generated for their website, so no excuses left.. and all I get.. "We'll look into it" ...but the damage has already been done... the address has become a SPAM target. I know people use it to create fake accounts, profiles etc. but that's not Trashmail's responsibility, nor it's doing. Ask yourself if Ford Motor Company is responsible if dicks use their product to get away after having robbed a bank? Is Colt responsible if some schizo dick uses their Bushmaster to murder little children? The fact is that tools or services can be used for good.. and evil. Sad but true.. but it is not the tool or service.. it's the human using it and to use Mywot to blame a website of something their not responsible for.. well, then you're being a dick. This website provides disposable temporary email address to beat spam. You can sign up to any site using this temporary email address and once it is done, the email address with all mails will be purged and any further spam directed towards this address will get bounced.
