Although ads do appear the pop-ups are fairly easy to close, but once you've closed the pop-up and unchecked the "download our offers" check box and clicked the little download button below the big green one you could get your download.

Just uncheck 'Download our Offers...' before generating the download link. First time you press download you will get an ad. Just close it and your download will begin. It's possible that some sites link to files on this site with malware or viruses but if you trust your source then probably not.
