Is videoblocks.com Safe?

Videoblocks provide fantastic quality stock B roll footage, backgrounds and AE templates on an all in subscription basis. Unlike other paid stock footage sites that make you paid per download or per usage, videoblocks asks you to pay a monthly or annual subscription to access all of their content, all downloads you make during your subscription have a lifetime licence attached, that's pretty unheard of elsewhere. There seem to be a lot of inappropriate reviews on this site from people who have either misunderstood that this is a paid service and there is no free content here, or who are seemingly angry at any business who dares to ask basic information from their customers like name, email and payment method. 95% of the reviews about this site should be utterly ignored.

This site is GREAT! I love the videos available. I do wish they had a wider library of "free" videos under the annual agreement but I can understand some restrictions on their premium content. In response to all the negative comments here, it's unfortunate this site is being put on blast. This is how businesses run... they take a credit card for your convenience in case you want to stay. This has been done for years. I am far too busy to follow up.

This is a scam website. When you sign up for a free trial, it asks you for your credit-card info even so. This site should be banned from all search engines. You should not buy anything from this site because your credit-card will surely be at risk. The monthly bill will be sent to your credit card monthly, which means you will have to pay pounds, and pounds, and pounds. Estimated: about $100.99 pr. month. you should not fall for this scam.

I'm seeing a lot of comments whining about this site from people who either just didn't read the instructions when using it, or who are flat-out anti-business. The site works exactly as it describes: you sign up for a 7 day trial of their membership, and during that time you can download any of the stock video footage available to paid members. The idea of the trial is to allow you to evaluate whether you want to continue being a member. If not, you simply cancel your membership before the 7 days is up. If you do not cancel your membership, then after 7 days your credit card is charged a very reasonable fee for 12 months of membership. I went through this trial process, found the membership to be very useful and continued with the paid membership afterwards. This is a perfectly legitimate site. It presents no problems at all to adults willing to take responsibility for their own behaviour.

I took a look at this site. I don't like the "free trial" concept. In my experience, all too often too hard to cancel. I don't like their privacy policy in the least bit. No way am I going to sign up for anything here and give out any personal data, especially credit card information. Too slick.

I have now lowered there rating more.>> ------- November 2015 due to their request for a re-review last year: They seem to have decent pricing, only spammed 6 messages in a 10 day period after signup/almost signup last year, and only 3 marketing messages through RedShark since. I honestly don't think I activated my free subscription because at the time they may have required a CC and that in itself is suspicious, and then there was the heavy 10 days of messages to get me to download stuff. I think my WOT rating was expired. I could not see what it was, but am not marking it as poor/any level of red. Just yellow now. . . . and still marking it as suspicious. as I have not found reason to try again. -- Based on my username here, they can send me a personal non-canned message.

Misleading advertising along with barrage of spam emails from videoblocks and sister website graphicstock,com. These emails make you believe that you are getting stuff for free but when you try to sign up you are asked for your credit card details. If you forget to cancel before your trial ends you will be charged. I don't trust this site
