Virustotal is one of my most favorite sites! it is highly trustworthy, and when ever I download something I run a scan with it! I cannot live without Virustotal, they are just awesome and with currently 48+* virus scanners! P.S. The virus scans can be false positive, meaning that an antivirus thinks that it is infected but in reality it isn't, and this happens often. *Scanners Vary From Time to time

I use this site almost daily to help see if my antivirus can determine if new threats coming in are detected. I use MS System Center Endpoint Protection and it turns out it is usually a day behind in detection. I submit files scanned here that arent detected to ***** Point is, great site!

Good site... I find this as a very useful website for scanning URL's and files from your computer, with almost 40 antivirus scanners. It comes in handy when visiting unknown sites, or finding suspicious files. It's also good for finding out if your antivirus alert is true or just a false positive. They even have browser extension called VTzilla which is compatible with all 3 major browsers. They also have a program called VirusTotal Uploader, to upload files easier. VirusTotal is something I use often and also recommend. Blacklisting... This domain does not appear on any blacklists, which means it's completely safe to use.
