Is vitacost.com Safe?

I have shopped vitacost for many years and haven't had a problem. I alternate between OPENDNS, CLEAR CLOUD and NORTONDNS and if vitacost was a malware site, any of those would block it. I don't know about the credit card stealing, maybe they had a unsavory employee at one time or another. I have had nothing but consistently great service for the past several years.

Ordered today, I'll post/edit my review here when I will have some news. Type of command : International shipping. Date : 4 march 2011 Edit : My shipment should be gone from their dock. 8 march 2011 I've received my shippment 13 days after, they say 8 business days. Not bad.

I've been dealing w/ Vitacost for many years and I was surprised to see some of these negative reviews. All I can say is I've had nothing but excellent service from these folks and my orders ALWAYS arrive w/in 2-3 days. Now, recently a new law was passed, evidently, that now make it impossible for the customer service representatives to advise u on products, such as which is better quality or which might suit ur particular needs, or anything of this nature. So your pretty much on ur own, to do the research on their products, thru their catalog or online. But u can NOT beat their prices & as I said, I just LOVE their service. The only thing I would recommend, is to do ur ordering over the phone. At least that's what I've always done & I don't have a single complaint. I just miss the advise they used to be able to give & no longer can. But then again, none of these vitamin companies are allowed to do this anymore. I definitely recommend them.

They also stold my credit card number and gave it out. Please be careful!! I have used this site for over 2 years and never had a problem until recently when my credit card company called my house about some recent transactions. One from an escort service!!, another fromdating site, and one other from some apple company. Your credit will be charged ***** and will also see a charge of 1 dollar from some place. They try to be sneaky. Thanks to them I had to cancel my credit card.

They sold my credit card number to a 3rd party outfit, which supposedly deals in credit card security, which proceeded to charge me $19.95 a month. When I figured out who they were and called them they didn't bat an eyelash, like they do this all the time.

Better than any other such type of site - I ve looked at many others, for both quality and price, and they continue to be the best. They do not spam you, but if you ask for a newsletter you will get one, but it can be stopped if you tell them to stop. As for the clown who gave them a negative rating, he must be a competitor.
