Safe but sucks; staff doesn't listen, they force features upon you whether you like it or not and is generally a crappy wikifarm.

Very hurtful to me.

Don't listen to their user base, no respect for community opinion. The new skin vastly reduced content space but vastly increased ad space. If you're looking at creating a wiki, anywhere but here.

Wikia is great and has a lot to offer, there advertising is a bit much though as articles have ads embedded as if they are apart of them and you are redirected any time you use a hot link which can make things slow if you use a wikia in conjunction with a game.
