Is wondershare.com Safe?

I downloaded something in a hurry to convert a movie file that I was frustrated with and couldn't convert, and I downloaded the trial version of Wondershare. I was unhappy with the product's limited functionality and uninstalled it. Before I knew it, my computer slowed down and was sluggish. I used Malware Bytes to scan my computer and found Wondershare had installed itself all over my computer in several places, and began running when I started my computer up. I was able to successfully remove this pest, but I must beware other people - Do NOT DOWNLOAD.

Installed but did not run their Android Transfer - not interested in buying it. Deletion took 20 minutes of searching through the Windows Registry - not for the fainthearted. Keys proliferated throughout Windows, VERY difficult to uninstall. Can't tell whether it's actually malware or just a terrible nuisance.

After using the "installer" I just realized how stupid I was to let it download and "install" an audio recorder. The install wizard is not professional and looks like it is malware, which it is! It downloads something but does not install anything or at least not what I thought it would install. It is a virus and 2 of my anti virus programs could not detect it. However, it is gone now thanks to Avast. Dont download this scam!

I was looking for a program that copies my iPhone contents. The thing is that I found at least 5 different websites, all pointing to those Wondershare programs, without mentioning that it is actually the same company. It looks pretty much like a link network aiming to mislead the customers and in my opinion this is also contrary to Google guidelines. I wonder why they are still online. This kind of companies should really be shut down.

There's no reference to the makers and website of Handbrake. Wondershare published an article on how to use Handbrake, a video conversion software of which they are not the makers. On the bottom they put two large green download buttons. It's easily missed that the buttons provide a download of their own (Wondershare) video conversion software, which is a commercial product. The sentence "Free download the trial version of Video Converter" doesn't take away from the fact they're abusing the popularity of the product of someone else's making. Actually it happend to be the best pdf to ppt converter I saw on internet! :) The watermark it leaves after convertion is easy to get rid off by delete button ;) it even mark image separately from background! - this is my first impression after installing "Wondershare PDF to PowerPoint" - 15-day trial. Currently it's looking good. I can only say it about this application, I don't know how the rest looks like.

***** Be careful installing any Wondershare products! On their last “offer”, they bundled in a file named WSHelper.exe. This file is a pop up advertising from them that pops up on your DESKTOP, not in a browser. Even after you think you have uninstalled their software, the WSHelper.exe stays behind. Be sure to remove it! Try going to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wondershare\Wondershare Helper Compact\WSHelper.exe. (or a location similar to that, depending on your OS)

I ordered Wondershare's Photo Recovery Software having accidentally reformatted my SD card. Most expensive mistake. EVER. I pay $29.95 and copy and paste key reg code to URL as directed. Over and over agan I am brought to a completely WHITE page. I email complaint and they say I am not doing it right. After trying over and over with same results, I said screw it and please refund money. NEVER even got software. The next morning I go to reboot computer and I am locked out of my own computer with page that says hard drive crash and I needed to call this international phone # to get a deactivation code... no 800 #. The numbers are in China somwhere. Now if they just want reassurance that I have their software and it won't be used, an honest company can block or just uninstall. I asked for refund within 3 hours of frustrating attempts but no refund. I had to take hard drive in, paid $200 and was told this was definitely Malware... my computer was basically hijacked. No company should crash your hard drive like this. Of course, they have denied everything and I will never see that $29.95 again. A reputable company will just refund, especially since I told them from beginning I NEVER was able to download their Recovery program. Frauds... I don't care how WOT rates them. DO NOT USE their Photo Recovery Software. I wouldn't use it if THEY PAID ME.
