I rate WordPress.org Website (not the open source CMS) and the way WP.org is managed.
- I cannot edit my very old reviews, when I have changed my mind about a plugin.
- Moderator randomly refuse posts and answers, for unjustified reason, give the right to one user to answer and give his point of vue, but another user, decline his answers (Moderator are like Masters, no boss, no way to report a Moderator bad behaviour)
- also, some merchant is WordPress.org like a marketing place to promote their services and abuse customers by selling (without any way to get refund) none functional digital product (plugins…)
in other words, a lot of progress to do about RGPD & transparency !
I live from WordPress business, but I am very sad to see how WP.org is managed.
I trust WordPress.org because thousands of users review the plugins. The purpose of the site is to help users, not profit from them. WordPress provides additional support in the form of WordCamps, WordPress.tv and Meetups.
It is a decent, popular CMS platform.
However, if you have it installed on any of your websites, check in regularly for updates, so your website doesn't become a virus breeding ground.
