i can understand other peoples privacy concerns. I think you will find that it is the policy of the websites/companies of where the information is held that is the issue. You will find countless sites like this documenting your information into once place. ***** holds your info. In UK until about 7 years ago your electoral roll info was made PUBLIC whether you like it or not, showing your name, age, address who you live with, how long you lived their etc now you have to pay to see the info. - This is how bbc tv licence got your info, from the electoral roll. I dont register so they cant look for me at an address. Thing is if you post on the net YOU WILL BE ON THE NET regardless of what you do and do not wish to be public. It comes down to you to never associate your public profiles with your real name, never use your real name in your email address, dont allow geolocation features in your browser, phone etc. Simple things like that. It is possible to request your info is removed from 3rd party harvest sites i have done this myself. Data is a priceless commodity, unless people start hiding their online presence we will have NO privacy rights at all!

This site had my whole household's individual names blasted on the net, which were publish originally on 192.com, who obtained it from the Full Electoral Register (We opted out of the Edited Electoral Register). The Electoral Service legally pass the information onto companies that do credit checks. No permission, just blatant infringement of privacy. When/if they get the data right, you can be targeted for any number of craziness. You can complain and get it taken down but be warned, fake your signature and other details when you send anything to them in writing.

The low Child Safety rating is because minors do use the Internet and their information can be searched and collected by this service and that can put minors in serious danger. For this reason I have also rated this website red on Ethical issues. *****
