Is yelp.com Safe?

Yelp will not post some business ratings which are legitimate. They claim the rating is questionable and then block them for no reson at all. I have left several glowing reviews and they remove them. That is not a good way to run a business and it makes them seem very shady. I don't trust any of their ratings because of this. Zero stars!

You have to read every review with a grain of salt. Reason, their automated "filter" system filters just about everyone who is a real person. About the only people who's reviews don't get filtered are the 100+ review people or various companies who have learned to game there site. Be very careful when using this site.

Have never heard of or visited this site ever but have suddenly started receiving copious amounts of unsolicited emails claiming I registered for an account. That is a lie and I never replied to the account confirmation link which they emailed me. Now receiving daily spam from yelp.com addresses.

I gave a positive review for a shop in Pacific Grove that I frequent.Then I noticed that the negative reviews stayed and that mine and other positive reviews disappeared. When I wrote to Yelp, I never received a response even though they said they would.

I searched on Google for a name. A link to their site came up with the name and number of stars for the review. But when I click on the link, I got someone else entirely. I am sure this was intentional to up the rating of someone else who is paying them for clicks. Talk about bait and switch. Bad mojo.
