WOT Top Member Award 2008

Top User awardThe 80/20 rule is popular in economics, and it can be applied in much of your life. We haven't done the exact math, but at WOT we can roughly agree that 80 percent of our value is represented by 20 percent of our users. And from that 20 percent, there is an even smaller elite group that we want to recognize for their contributions.

The WOT Top Member award goes to those members who serve the WOT community by giving freely of their time, knowledge and advice to help others stay safe on the Internet.

  • Athlonite is an experienced computer user who freely gives advice on the WOT forum and other technology forums.
  • BobJam is an active participant in the WOT forum, giving advice and technical support, and he is not at all grumpy.
  • Codhead is an active participant in the WOT forum, giving advice and technical support with a dose of British humor.
  • Flyaqua is an active participant in the WOT forum, giving advice and opinions. He has added comments to numerous sites’ scorecards, including many in German.
  • Phantazm has contributed by writing comments explaining ratings on numerous sites, participating in the WOT forum, offering advice and solving technical problems. He is also active in the WOT Google group.
  • Xp54321 has given numerous ratings along with being an active participant in the WOT forum. He is also active in the WOT Google group.
  • wehaveitall is an active participant in the WOT forum giving advice and technical support. He has independently created the WOT Google group and WOT fan page, and he has facilitated the creation of a WOT wiki. He was winner of the WOT Million Download Contest.
The Top Member award can be seen on your profile page. If you would like to suggest a WOT user for a future Top Member, Scambuster or Publicity award, please email us at awards@mywot.com.

    Kudos!

    Kudos to all!

Not if - for it's just a matter of time, but when WOT moves into offering a more robust "pay" version, I suspect those of you whom are listed will receive honorary versions with lifetime upgrades.

Oh yeah, and I also enjoy having disagreements with some of you - hope it's taken in good faith, I do not mean to disrespect anyone.

    peace,
    - G7W

    Surprised and Honored !

    Hey WOT Team !!

Well, how can I express my gratitude at such an Award. I joined this team to help and
    try
to make life easier for everyone who would take advantage of my modest experience.
This blew me away. Not in one hundred years would I have thought to be recognized for
something that I simply enjoy as much as all of you who are here more often then I can. I just don't know what to say to such an Honor .
It goes without saying that ALL of us at WOT deserve to be included and Congratulated for all of the hard work you have done, It's with the help
of everyone involved that this venture has succeeded . My only wish for the future is that we can ALL be here at WOT for a long time. The camaraderie that has developed on this forum is like a second family to me. It doesn't matter if you disagree on a topic, you know you will get support on another. It's with discussion
    that resolution comes about.

I cannot thank, Everyone involved, enough for this Honor. I just can't find the right
words to express my feelings at this moment.

Again , THANK YOU so much for this Honor.

OH, and if you think that I don't have a mean streak in me well, don't get me started
on a topic that's close to my heart . You might have better words for BobJam and
    codhead once I'm finished LOL!

    In all modesty .

    Athlonite.

    Your help is always needed.

    Cool

    Neat "Grumpy Old Men" award.

Thanks very much, seriously, for the "Top" award.

And now I will try to be grumpier than cod head and YoKenny (actually, I think that cod head started this grumpy stuff ).

But curiously I am less cranky when on this WOT board . . . may have something to do with the "camaraderie" that Athlonite spoke of. Indeed, I agree 100% with Athlonite . . . there are some pretty cool folks here (cod head and Yokenny included even though they're my competitors for the "Top Grumpy Old Man" award).
