Would you like to know which websites you can trust? WOT shows you which websites you can trust based on millions of users experiences around the world. It’s easy to use, fast, and completely free.

We are now looking for talented developers to join our international team that develops and promotes the world’s leading safe surfing tool WOT. We are located in Helsinki, Finland, but our global user community is worldwide.

Your job is to provide expertise for developing & maintaining our website or browser extensions. You will work in a cross-functional team that focuses on delivering a superior user experience and finding innovative ways to grow and activate our user community.


  • Relevant degree and/or working experience on web/software development
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will score additional points with any of the following: PHP, Drupal, MySQL, jQuery, Perl, C++, or Windows programming
  • Ability to gain an understanding of technically complex browser extension area and deliver results quickly
  • Interest in Internet safety, rating systems, and new trends in the online world
  • Team working skills and proactive way of working
  • Proficiency in English

The positions are preferably located at our HQ in Helsinki, but other home-based locations can be considered based on wishes of the selected candidates.

Web of Trust (WOT) is a community-based safe surfing tool for your browser. WOT enables users to rate websites they use for trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety. WOT calculates websites’ reputations based on user ratings and reliable third-party trusted sources, such as listings of malware sites, and shows them with color-coded reputation icons across the web. The add-on has app. 25 million users who have rated over 33 million websites.
