My Mother was declared dead in an emergency room after a terrible attack of Polio. She survived but was given very little hope. Her father-in-law (my paternal Grandfather) shared his knowledge of Christian Science. The nurses encouraged her to refuse the high doses of morphine. She had to work hard to overcome the numerous negative medical opinions and doubts. She enjoyed a wonderful life as a Christian Scientist to age 78.
