Authenticity of the mods from this site? It's shit. Good alternative? Hell no. Viruses? Yes, and those viruses are ALL shit. Don't download from this fucking site.
This site is free of malware, but the interface is not good and I'm actually not sure if it's legal or not.
However, the ads are not sexual in any way whatsoever, and are for normal things like Grammarly and Honey. Also for the review that said that the site is not safe with *****, *****, and shorte.st, (1) ***** and ***** do sometimes have malware, but as long as you don't click on the ads you'll be safe. Also ***** is completely malware-free, and (2) 9Minecraft uses it's own site for download links, and does not use file hosting services or URL shorteners. Therefore, it does not use ad.fly or adfoc.us
But please only use these sites to download mods:

9Minecraft is an illegal reposting site for Minecraft mods, which can and does make money off of reposted content and sometimes bundles malware.
The website repacks Minecraft mods developed by hard-working creators on websites like ***** and minecraftforum.net, generally without permission from the developer or copyright holder. It makes revenue via ads, which means that this website likely violates Copyright Law in the US. Please use only use the aforementioned websites.
Please visit ***** and download their browser extension.
This site tried to install MacKeeper on my mac, when I tried to install a mod.
When most reviews are 1-2 stars, with only 1 or 2 reviews that have >4 stars, how is this site still rated 4.2???, and how is it safe, with adfly, shorte, and adfocus.
My antivirus keeps telling me that it has blocked an attack whenever I visit this website. I used to visit this site and similar sites on my laptop, but then I got a virus and I was forced to factory reset my computer.
Steals mods from official (trusted) outlets, adds in malware/ad revenue generation, and in turn makes money off of the mods instead of the author.
Site also claims to have versions of modifications that don't even exist, like "Railcraft for [newest game version here]!" for example.
Basically, they're thieves and malware distributors making a profit.
