This site is free of malware, but the interface is not good and I'm actually not sure if it's legal or not.
However, the ads are not sexual in any way whatsoever, and are for normal things like Grammarly and Honey. Also for the review that said that the site is not safe with ad.fly, adfoc.us, and shorte.st, (1) Ad.fly and Adfoc.us do sometimes have malware, but as long as you don't click on the ads you'll be safe. Also Shorte.st is completely malware-free, and (2) 9Minecraft uses it's own site for download links, and does not use file hosting services or URL shorteners. Therefore, it does not use ad.fly or adfoc.us
9Minecraft is an illegal reposting site for Minecraft mods, which can and does make money off of reposted content and sometimes bundles malware.
The website repacks Minecraft mods developed by hard-working creators on websites like curseforge.com and minecraftforum.net, generally without permission from the developer or copyright holder. It makes revenue via ads, which means that this website likely violates Copyright Law in the US. Please use only use the aforementioned websites.
Please visit stopmodreposts.org and download their browser extension.
This site tried to install MacKeeper on my mac, when I tried to install a mod.
When most reviews are 1-2 stars, with only 1 or 2 reviews that have >4 stars, how is this site still rated 4.2???, and how is it safe, with adfly, shorte, and adfocus.
My antivirus keeps telling me that it has blocked an attack whenever I visit this website. I used to visit this site and similar sites on my laptop, but then I got a virus and I was forced to factory reset my computer.
Steals mods from official (trusted) outlets, adds in malware/ad revenue generation, and in turn makes money off of the mods instead of the author.
Site also claims to have versions of modifications that don't even exist, like "Railcraft for [newest game version here]!" for example.
Basically, they're thieves and malware distributors making a profit.
The site steal content that has been made by other people and post links to it on their site, bypassing any attempts the original creator of the content has made to monetize their product. 9minecraft infringes the copyright on thousands of 'mods' for Minecraft that have been made by people on minecraftforum.net.
They place many ads and lie about the compatibility of the mods. The site deletes any comments that tell others of their true nature to hide how illegal they are being. This site should be taken down.
This is a site that rehosts Minecraft mods without the mod-maker's permissions. They SEO optimize to fool people searching for mods that don't exist (such as "RedPower for 1.7.10"). It is at best a low-effort leech site using SEO tricks to fool kids, at worst, who knows what they've put into the stuff they host.
Modmakers have complained that they take ancient versions of the mods and present them as new ones.
