And before anyone talks about opt-in, I tried installing DaemonTools Lite earlier in the day - there was NO option to opt-in or opt-out of OpenCandy. Malwarebytes AM Premium will block the OpenCandy installer file, and Emsisoft products will block the installer containing OpenCandy altogether. Use another OpenCandy-free software if you can and save yourself the hassle.

Whereever i go and download a programm, i find your fucking bullshit OpenCandy in the installer. Wanted to download µTorrent. I just found Online-Installers, that installed your crap on my PC. Go back to the dump, where you came from and take your shit with you!

OpenCandy collects data on what programs you have installed on your computer and tries to make suggestions on what additional software you might want to install. OpenCandy does advertise some malware such as Optimizer Pro, but if you decline the offers, OpenCandy will respect your wish and not install anything unwanted on your computer. Make sure you know what the program is advertising and how to decline the offers so there won't be any unwanted installations!

If they just recommend them to you without the OCEULA, then be careful what to install. Sometimes, toolbars are safe such as the Google toolbar, some are not safe such as Ask toolbar. And even when it is safe or not, you always have the option to not installed it by clicking on advanced installation instead of recommended. If they do not have the option to custom install, then I don't recommend installing the actual program at all. Trust me this opencandy crap is malware ans spyware it DISABLES your virus scanner abilities. it made it to were i couldnt update malwarebytes or kaspersky it kept blocking my connection to update malwarebytes and kaspersky. but connection worked great for everything else.
