The thought of making you sign up for social media to download something is absurd. There are better sites out there.
Also, if you use an ad blocker, you're forced to wait 1,000 seconds before you can download.
Misleading claims or unethical as offers downloads (you have to click through a couple of pages before this, making it misleading), but then as another person claimed before me, forces you to sign-up via social network ONLY. I don't use these latter services, making it impossible to use the site.
Privacy risks because cross-referencing someone's social identity with what files they are downloading is never a good idea for privacy.
Poor Customer Experience because it's a worthless design for a file hosting site, on all fronts.
Like all "free" services criminals will use it for Malware and phishing scam or other criminal activity. Spammed links to RAR archives, ZIP archives, PDFs, etc etc are all links to malware.
4shared has been blocked as it represents low value high risk.
NEVER trust a spammer
NEVER buy from spammers (HIGH fraud risks)
NEVER visit spammed web sites (HIGH malware risks)
Once a useful file hosting service, it is now a mess of fake ads, "download" buttons that don't download the file you want but instead crap apps of a suspicious nature, pop-up ads with crap. Oh, and having ot log in with a fb account? Any privacy risks in that, you think?
