Download link said to wait to download file. When wait was over, download link lead back one page, and then started the wait process over without allowing file download. Banner leads to banner leads to banner. Ridiculous waste of time.

was downloading form this site for years and never had any problem. and it's quite obvious than it depends on what you download - for example music doesn't contain any virus but if you want to download some suspicous programs, they can have a malware within. it's not 4shared's fault if somebody uploads malicious files there. just be careful and you're safe!

Haven't found any malicious content so far. If you download something, it's always best to scan it before opening it. At the download link you will also be warned if the file contains something malicious.
