Lastest version update contained a virus according to Kaspersky and my system had to be disinfected. I am still using the previous version of bsplayer.

I have not seen any adware or malware in the downloads at this site,but it WAS tested and McAfee had found adware. But that was in the past years. BS.Player HAS changed and is no longer bundled with the adware. I have tested yet to test it with AVAST/Other Anti Viruses, this post will be updated soon! Until then, I'll say there's only a 40% chance of Adware and Malware.

Latest version does not contain any WhenU, AdVantage or other spyware. There is a supposedly harmless toolbar in the default installation choices, which can be deselected from install. Quoted from a BsPlayer official: "Bundled adware was completely removed in latest version of BS.Player 2.30 (11th of August 2008), which is now supported by toolbar (optional)."
