Ist crawler.com sicher?

Crawler is a part of the Xacti group which provides everything from screensavers to remote PC support - ***** Crawler LLC have had credibility problems in the past (they used to spread malware but promised to clean up their act; maybe they did). www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/crawler.com ***** Crawler also has a number of subsidiary domains and websites including ***** ***** n the site's TOS page I found this little gem - "You may not link to this website, without prior consent from us". Crawler is the biggest adware pusher I've ever encountered. I've removed thousands of copies of their junk from client's computers. Crawler's software got installed without the consent or even knowledge of the users! I wonder why they got a "good" reputation when most of the reviews are negative and only a few obviously fake ones consider it good.

Crawler and Inbox somehow invaded my browsers. Even after I uninstalled them they still come up. I have used all their methods to disable, uninstall, etc. and they are still there. In Internet Explorer, Inbox suddenly became my home page. I was able to change that. However, my default browser is Google Chrome. They have not provided a method to prevent Crawler from automatically coming up as a new tab. Unless you really want to use these products to the exclusion of anything else, do not let them in.
