Penny auction sites are a scam designed to appeal to gamblers and other addicts. Nobody gets brand name merchandise for pennies on the dollar. What happens is the sites function more like a lottery- and a heavily stacked one at that.
Every one of them should be illegal.
Definitely NOT suitable for children. It can be very expensive over the long haul. Their are too many bidders with with access to large bid bank rolls, who make winning extremely difficult.
T be fair, I have won a number of items including gift cards and one Dell computer...but I've spent much more on purchasing bids. In other words, I could have purchased these items outside of the site and saved myself thousands of dollars
They do offer "bid sales" as low at 13 cents per... , but what's the point if you still spend hundreds of dollars to win a particular item. Although they freeze most bidders out at $5.00, you only have to place 1 bid using their "Bid Buddy" option to reserve yourself a place to bid later, at anytime the auction is still live. Ergo, one could place several hundred or even thousand bids, and another bidder could jump in at anytime, and place unlimited bids, winning the auction right out from under you.
They have a little tool called he "Bid Clock" where you COULD earn free bids, based on the amount of time you spend bidding. However, "bid jumpers" can bid over you killing your clock time, and essentially making it a useless tool for the bidder.
All these bid sites make it seem like you win a PC for $25. You are not paying $25 for the PC; you are paying to BID. These are usually horrible deals for all the losers and sometimes even the winners ending up with a bad deal. When you have a legitimate auction you know what the winners pay. With these bid sites; if you add up the costs of the bids, invariably they turn out to be HORRIBLE deals.
Dealdash is a great site. Winnings are sent in great time and customer service is great. You don't need to wait for hours for help--very prompt and helpful. With Xmas season--I thought there would be a delay in delivery but not the case. Very nice site overall.
This is an awesome site . I have won a few items, they are exactly what they say they are. Brand new items and always free shipping I would recommend this site to everyone!
I have tried other penny auctions with bad results. Dealdash is the fair one that they advertise. The support staff is great. When I had used buy it now for a mans necklace and bracelet, what I received wouldn't fit a child let alone a man. Dealdash not only gave me all my money and bids back, they pulled the others that was still being auctioned.
