When I downloaded the FREESTUDIO Version ***** it was just perfect. Everything worked well and I have full faith on this software. But recently I downloaded a newer version of this software from the same website, it still work well, but with some extremely annoying ads in some applications such as Free Youtube Downloader. They claim that these is their "ads of partner" but the content of these ads is certainly a horrible fraud and phishing. For example: Congrat! You have a chance to win an iPhone 5.... , What a phish!!. STUPID ADS!! THEY EVEN TRY TO ASK ME TO DOWNLOAD bk-coretag.js from ***** I once trust this software. NOW I DONT !!!

Great site for freeware. Although it's pretty suspicious because it sort of mimics Microsoft's own logo (as of Windows 8). But they do provide very good freeware. A lot of them has to do with multimedia converting. They do more than multimedia converting. They have a video editor, an audio editor, a screen recorder, a video rotater (a bit more advanced than trimming), and even a torrent downloader. The Torrent downloader is still in beta.

The best software for YouTube Converts and much more. For everyone saying the company is bad, you're not reading the installation pages. You can see there's option to disable anything from being downloaded. OpenCandy is used by loads of companies so that they can keep things free. I bet you have downloaded something from CNet before which means the software is already on your PC. As for the popups in the program itself, it only works via the exe when contacted to the internet. No threat at all!

Stay away from dvdvideosoft. They actually have great programs, but when downloading you also install malware, which is almost impossible to get rid of. When contacted dvdvideosoft does not answer quesitions but instead beat about the bush. The programs are free, so they profit from the users who download the malware. Be careful - and stay away!!!

this used to be an excellent site with great free programs, there has always been toolbars/search providers add on extras which were easy to opt out of installing, but now they seem to have taken the sneaky route of hiding all these extras inside the 'Recommended Installation' option, to be offered the 'opt out option' you have to unknowingly click 'Custom Installation' but that is not the only sneaky harmful ***** with most freeware there is understandably 3rd party adverts that appear inside some free programs but the problem with this software's 3rd party adverts are that they are malware & pop up saying you NEED TO install/update flash player or HD Media Player etc to continue,these are misleading scare tactics. Such a shame because the actual programs are very good but I can no longer use,trust or recommend these to anybody anymore. BE AWARE!!

IF you want to partner with trolls, then make it an ADD-ON A-N-D make sure people know what they're getting into. i.e. that not only do you have this spyware search bar put on to IE and Firefox, but it severely corrupts Google Search. Wasted well over an hour to remove (deleting the spyware via the control panel does nothing, of course, and needed to use System Restore, and then virus software to remove the Trojan). Bunch of crap, jerks.
