You can see there's option to disable anything from being downloaded. OpenCandy is used by loads of companies so that they can keep things free. I bet you have downloaded something from CNet before which means the software is already on your PC. As for the popups in the program itself, it only works via the exe when contacted to the internet. No threat at all!

Stay away from dvdvideosoft. They actually have great programs, but when downloading you also install malware, which is almost impossible to get rid of. When contacted dvdvideosoft does not answer quesitions but instead beat about the bush. The programs are free, so they profit from the users who download the malware. Be careful - and stay away!!!

this used to be an excellent site with great free programs, there has always been toolbars/search providers add on extras which were easy to opt out of installing, but now they seem to have taken the sneaky route of hiding all these extras inside the 'Recommended Installation' option, to be offered the 'opt out option' you have to unknowingly click 'Custom Installation' but that is not the only sneaky harmful ***** with most freeware there is understandably 3rd party adverts that appear inside some free programs but the problem with this software's 3rd party adverts are that they are malware & pop up saying you NEED TO install/update flash player or HD Media Player etc to continue,these are misleading scare tactics. Such a shame because the actual programs are very good but I can no longer use,trust or recommend these to anybody anymore. BE AWARE!!

IF you want to partner with trolls, then make it an ADD-ON A-N-D make sure people know what they're getting into. i.e. that not only do you have this spyware search bar put on to IE and Firefox, but it severely corrupts Google Search. Wasted well over an hour to remove (deleting the spyware via the control panel does nothing, of course, and needed to use System Restore, and then virus software to remove the Trojan). Bunch of crap, jerks.

Downloaded this software and am 100% sure NOT to have chosen to install any addon software during installation process. Software installed an annoying Delta-Search software hijacking all browsers, changing homepage, adding a browser bar and modifying search result pages with malicious content. Took me the last six hours to get rid of it - even after a system restart - and not even sure now if everything has been fixed! Stay away from it!

This software may be OK, but the spyware/adware that it also installs is nasty, I wasted hours getting rid of it from my browsers. I'm an experienced software developer and I found it had installed itself into dozens of places around my computer. It didn't do a lot of actual harm (I hope!), it was more like a plague of cockroaches. The software itself may be OK but I for one wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Hello, Don't download their programm, it contains malware that installs unwanted toolbars in your browser. I have been busy with removing all this malware for a couple of hours. If you like your time, don't do this. The green WOT rating is not correct. Jonas
