I am immediately removing it from my list. It can't load properly on my setup. I had to block virtually everything attempting to run in the background and then after reading the comments below that was enough to kick this site to the curb.
Fandango.com (freeflixtix.com) is an online movie time and ticket service and is owned by NBCUniversal (Comcast Corporation). Fandango sells movie tickets via telephone and Internet. Safe website and service.
I won a $50 Fandango gift card. Went to their site to check balance. They told me $50 - nothing else. So I went to their FAQs and asked about expiration dates. It said they never expire. Liars! Apparently, mine was a "promotional code", which DID expire and they refused to extend it. When I asked how I could have known, they ignored me. When I called and waited on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes, I tried again. No, they wouldn't extend it. I asked how I could have known either that it was a promotional code OR that it expired. She hedged for a while and finally said I could have called! WHAT?! This is Fandango - an ONLINE ticketing service. Who would spend over an hour on hold to ask something they could easily get an answer to in 5 seconds from their website, especially when the website misleads you into thinking that you have all the information you need?! When I use a gift card on ITunes or Amazon, they make it very obvious whether you have a gift card or promotional code. Why doesn't Fandango do that? Why are they punishing ME for THEIR lack?! And if they can cheat me for something I had no way of knowing, I wonder how many other ways they have to cheat people
The only category I scored them low in is child safety and that is because they allow anyone on the site to access movie clips for rated R and PG 13 movies which is not appropriate for small children. Small children should not have access to this site.
