Is freeroms.com Safe?

I for now haven't had any trouble. Possibly the main reason being i did not download an exe. NEVER download any exe's. wait for the 15 seconds and then press the big yellow button that says "direct download". That way you will get only the ISO file of the game in a zip. As far as i know, most games will work just fine.

INFO, pour ceux qui passeraient pas là, effectivement le site propose des .iso qui finalement sont des .exe, ce qui peu rebuter je le conçois, pour remédier à ça appuyer sur "direct download" plutôt que "download" vous téléchargerez alors un 7z contenant un .iso Voilà tout...

Don't listen to the people saying that its a virus and that the files are .exe there supposed to be that just double click the file and install the rar to your pc then you extract it to get your rom but some people are just stupid and don't get simple things like that.

Me and my friends wanted to play some games together on Dolphin Emulator. Specifically Mario Power Tennis. We couldn't find it anywhere else but freeroms. I decided I was going to download it first. The ROM is a .exe! IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY PEOPLE. I still let it download, and when it was finished, I scanned it for viruses. It said it didn't have any... BOY WERE THEY WRONG. It downloaded a BUNCH of malware, and infected the snoz out of my pc. All just to see that there was a note in the file saying "This game is not available right now, see freeroms.com for more games!" TL:DR, The website has lots of malware, and the rom came in a .exe file.

First "ROM" I downloaded here was an .exe file. Ran it without checking it, and immediately asks for administrator permission. I realize what I've done and say No, and immediately close the installer. I thought I was fine after that. Two weeks later, I turn on my desktop icons, and I see a shortcut to continue the installation. So I download malwarebytes and quarantine it. Don't be fooled by the site's green icon status.
