they promise 1 thing and then switch to some other offer and do not make good on the original. wine insider is a prime example. stay away.

great way to choose your past time and do it cheap with coupons. using it for several years and always satisfied

Many of the coupons are either expired, aren't what they claim, or just simply don't work. I've only had maybe 30% of coupons on groupon work, 30% is a high estimate, more likely less

They've had a couple of slipups and here and there and I think their business is struggling, but you can trust that if you buy something on Groupon you almost always get what you paid for. It's a good site and you can trust them.

Want credit card details (Groupon.com) to buy anything. No one else mandates that I send (via an unprotected link) my credit card. I would not recommend Groupon to anyone.

good site, a lot of product variety, although be careful with signing in to emails as the unsubscribe process is long and not intuitive. I still receive newsletters that I thought I have unsubscribed from long time ago

It's a great site all in all, I do use it sometimes to find interesting stuff to do around my area or discounted tickets to shows and restaurants.
Things I don't like is that they do email A LOT ( you can of course unsubscribe, but I do want to get their emails, just once a week and not 3 times a day). Also, not all deals are children safe, I don't mind that, but I know some might find it offensive (Banana Bunker and others...).
