I use Imagemagick on linux, but since I don't work with Windows as often, and can boot into linux with a live distro, mount the NTFS partition, and work with files, I don't usually feel the need to learn the Windows version. I suppose that I could download it onto the machines of clients who don't want live distros (either PE or linux) booted via either USB or DVD (or don't have hardware for either method), and have done so in the past, I don't usually do that. The website has no deliberate malware, although any site can get infected. I usually keep an unused copy of firefox with the noscript plugin installed (and nothing whitelisted) to scan suspicious sites, then go ahead with another browser I determine that all is OK. In the case of imagemagick.org, the help offered on the site is usually EXTREMELY useful, with especially good tutorials and examples. I HIGHLY recommend this site and its products.

Honestly, I've never tried Imagemagick for Windows. I use it a good bit in Linux though. Very useful.
